DATA-DRIVEN SOLUTIONS

We are constantly gathering data and running workshops in order to help develop the best solutions to tackle the issue of disposable PPE.

WORKING with SUPPLIERS AND PARTNERS that focus on SUSTAINABILITY

We keep our supply chain as local as possible and are continually working with our partners to minimise the environmental impact of production and through life processing.

SAVING OUR ENVIRONMENT

Our key focus is to reduce the negative impact PPE production and waste has on our environment. From the way products are made, packaged, transported, sold and distributed - our approach is all about improving our impact at every point.

Supplier Assurance

Circular Economy

We are working with circular economy specialists to create a full cradle to cradle lifecycle for reusable PPE.  This includes integration into existing and new ways of reuse and laundry whilst providing a fully traceable solution that will integrate into any organisational workflow.

Minimising Waste

We are developing partnerships exploring fibre-to-fibre recycling and repurposing of surgical gowns, drapes, masks and other textiles.  Integral to this is sustaining our community through creating programs for those that experience health and social inequalities, including people with learning disabilities.

Minimising Carbon

Since our inception we have continued our focus on decreasing the carbon impact of textiles and also their reprocessing.  This has been backed up by independent scientific analysis and review under sub-contract with University College London.  We innovate where we can and are actively working on safe and effective low temperature textile reprocessing.

Responsible Provision

We are committed to responsible provision of PPE. At Revolution-ZERO, we actively explore the entire supply chain addressing issues such as modern slavery, child labour, corruption and price gouging.  It is critical that our solutions improve both our environment and society.

Revolution-ZERO products

The Revolution-ZERO range is constantly expanding and continuously being updated and refined in response to clinical feedback which is predominately in surgical and high dependency hospital environments.    To find out more about our current and in development projects please email our engagement lead: grace.sowden@revolution-zero.com for more details.

Smart solutions

We carefully research our supply partners. We work with them to co-develop and co-design new products and services, such as our state of the art headband face-masks.  We are also actively inventing new solutions that can help address  barriers to the uptake of the Revolution-ZERO programme.

Tried, tested, accredited products

As well as being designed and manufactured in accordance with European standards such as EN14683 (medical device standard for masks) and EN13795:1 (standard for surgical gowns, drapes, wraps and aprons) our products undergo independent testing with certified laboratories both on first use and after the certified number of wash/dry cycles.

Examples of these measurements for our masks includes:

Bioburden (cleanliness), Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE), Particle Filtration Efficiency, Breathability and Splash resistance.

A growing sustainability strategy

The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were launched in 2015. They are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

To show how our achievements and ambitions support the Goals, we’ve summarised which goals apply to Revolution-ZERO’s strategy.
